4th of July Lighting Ideas
Fourth of July represents many things from the celebration of our independence to the exciting fireworks displays everywhere from beaches to backyards. These backyards are filled with friends, families and great food. While it won’t compete with hot dogs or hamburgers, lighting will play a supporting role during many of these cookouts. If you’re thinking about ways to help your yard or patio stand out, here are some 4th of July lighting ideas to consider.
Red, White and Blue Rope Lights
The fireworks in the sky don’t have to be the only thing people look at and enjoy. This 150-foot spool is great for wrapping around trees, patios or along a fence. If you don’t want to use all 150 feet at once, you can cut it and use it in smaller sections. When using it in pieces, make sure you also have end caps so you don’t have any exposed wires that could create a safety hazard and additional power cords so each section can be plugged in. Since this rope light operates on 120 volts, you can easily plug it into any existing outlets without having to use a transformer of any sort. In addition to red, white and blue, you can find a full color selection of rope lights at 1000Bulbs.com.
Commercial Outdoor String Lights
It doesn't matter if you own a restaurant or you’re someone that loves to grill; these 48-foot heavy-duty string lights will have people talking about more than just the ribs. A set of 15 light bulbs are already included so you can take them out of the package and hang them up immediately with the molded holes above each socket. Since these lights are commercial quality, you should be able to use them for years to come, whether it’s for another 4th of July or just to help an area stand out. To add a twist, you can use some red, white and blue S14 light bulbs. If you need longer than 48 feet, you can find other string lights in lengths all the way up to 330 feet.
White or Green Wire Mini String Lights
While traditionally used for Christmas trees, white and green wire string lights are perfect for any event. You can use the green wire variety to help them better blend in when wrapped around a tree, or use the white wire for contrast. These string lights can also be safely connected end-to-end. In addition to clear bulbs, mini string lights are also available in red, blue, green and a wide variety of other colors.
